“Good fortune happens when opportunity meets with planning.” - Thomas Edison
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, our theme will be centered around luck or good fortune.
Have you ever looked at a super fit person and said to yourself, “How did they get so lucky? They must have good genes or something.”
The truth is that about 5% of the population doesn’t really have to work at being healthy and fit. The rest of us have to make conscious decisions every day to not put something unhealthy in our mouths and exercise even if we’re busy or are not in the mood.
When it comes to being optimally healthy, luck really has very little to with your success. PLANNING is what truly will help you get to the your pot of gold (your fitness goals). Don’t get discouraged if you feel like there’s no rainbow or gold in the near future because you’ve got a long way to go, you “messed up” over the weekend, or it just seems too hard.
Thomas Edison held a world record of 1093 patents. Do you think he failed a few times at his inventions along the way? Heck yeah! But this is how he looked at it: ”I haven’t failed. I’ve found 10,000 ways that don’t work.”
How about you? What are you planning to do this week to get you one step closer to your pot of gold? ;)
